Our rental in Idaho is a 2019 Cherokee Limited. Took it up some logging roads in search of mountain huckleberries. We were successful on both counts.

Seems like a lot of work. Take a vacation day, fly out of state, rent a car, find a logging road, and find some berries.
Just kidding. :)

It was a fun change of pace. We’ve spent most of the week in or on the water. Plus, really huckleberries are worth it.

I wouldn’t know a huckleberry if I saw one. Except for this...

I once drove a 72 Camaro up some rough logging roads in the mountains to pick huckleberries. Totally worth it.

Hucks are going off right now. I’ve been eating them for the past few weeks. Nature’s energy food.

I bet not. That Camaro overheated (the radiator was garbage) while I was crawling up and I had to add water from a spring that was by the roadside. Still worth it.

My Z was traction challenged so I would go until the tires were spinning and I could no longer go forward. Then I’d back down and park. Otherwise the car ran pretty well.

The rally version is cool, probably had a limited slip which would help immensely.

Air down. There’s a tragic story about a couple who got stuck in the sand in Australia and eventually died. The people who recovered the bodies just let some air out and were able to drive away.

Those are a very sought after huckleberry. I believe that’s Vaccinium membranaceum...

Huckleberry ice cream is excellent. I think it was Tilamook brand...
